Window cleaning — inside, outside, frames, sills & sliding doors

What's included in a window clean
Four parts to every job. If one of them gets skipped, the windows look dirty again within days.
Interior & exterior glass
We wash each pane with an applicator, then squeegee it dry edge to edge and detail the corners. Inside glass gets the same treatment, with drop cloths down where needed so your floors and sills stay dry.
Frames & sills
Frames and sills collect dust, cobwebs, insects and — near the coast — a film of salt. We wipe them down so the next rain doesn't wash that dirt straight back over clean glass.
Sliding doors & tracks
Sliding doors are the biggest glass in most homes and the most handled. We clean both sides, the frame, and clear sand and grit from the tracks so the door slides properly.

Why Helderberg windows get dirty so fast
Salt off False Bay. In Strand and Gordon's Bay, sea spray settles on glass as a dull film that daylight makes obvious. It's also why windows close to Beach Road need cleaning more often than ones a few kilometres inland.
The south-easter. The summer wind carries sand and dust into frames, sills and sliding-door tracks across the Helderberg and into Stellenbosch. Clean tracks make a real difference to how a door runs.
Sprinklers and borehole water. Irrigation spray can leave white or orange spots on lower windows. Mild marks come off in a normal clean; heavy mineral staining takes longer, and we'll tell you before we start if it won't fully lift.
Big glass. Homes with mountain or sea views tend to have large picture windows and long sliding doors — exactly the glass where streaks show up most.

Do you clean windows inside and outside?
Yes. Most clients book both sides. We can also do outside-only or inside-only — tell us which when you ask for a quote.
Are frames, sills and sliding-door tracks included?
Yes. A window clean with us includes wiping down frames and sills, and clearing and wiping sliding-door tracks. It's what keeps the glass looking clean for longer.
Can you clean upstairs windows?
Often, yes. Send a photo of the outside of the house on WhatsApp and we'll confirm which windows we can reach safely before we quote. We won't quote for anything we can't do safely.
How much does window cleaning cost?
We quote per property rather than publishing a price list, because the number of panes, access, burglar bars and the state of the glass all change the time it takes. Quotations are free.
How often should I get my windows cleaned?
It depends on where you live. Homes near the sea in Strand and Gordon's Bay collect salt quickly and often book every one to two months. Inland homes in Somerset West and Stellenbosch usually book every two to three months, or before the summer.
Do I need to be home?
For inside windows, someone needs to let us in. For outside-only cleans we can often work while you're out, as long as we have access to the property.
Can you remove paint or cement splatter after building work?
Light splatter can usually be removed carefully. Heavy building residue takes longer, so mention it when you ask for a quote and send a photo.
